CHARLES
WATSON & HOLLOW COUNCIL
Josh Cummings and
Charles Watson & Hollow Council Announce Joint Venture with TV Reality Show,
Ghost Bike Builder, at Sturgis Motorcycle Rally 2010 Apache Junction, Arizona, July 11, 2010 – Josh Cummings is the star of the new TV reality series Ghost Bike Builder. Cummings is an outrageously radical bike builder for sure, previously called upon to build Shaq O'Neill's monstrosity of a trike that wowed the motorcycle world big-time. Now Josh is setting up shop in Phoenix, AZ where the reality show will be filmed, creating custom bikes, real-time, LIVE. Charles Watson and the band, Hollow Council, are the house band for the show, rocking along as the sparks fly. Charles Watson, Josh Cummings, & White Wolf wrote the show's theme song, Ghost Bike Builder, recorded by Hollow Council, which includes a shadowy tale by Watson about the Ghost Bike Builders you just don't wanna miss. Ghost Bike Builder is hosting a huge venue at the lauded Sturgis Motorcycle Rally 2010, the 70th Anniversary of the Black Hills Motor Classic. Their venue is located downtown Sturgis at 960 Main Street, by the Sturgis Harley Davidson showroom and right across the street from the famous Sturgis Motorcycle Museum. The week's events include motorcycle give-aways and special guest appearances. Charles Watson & Hollow Council are playing the Ghost Bike Builder Main Street venue all week long, August 9 thru 15. In particular, the band will be playing evening stage shows on the 9th, 11th, 13th, and 15th along with giving away 13 brand new guitars and T-shirts. If there ever was a success story to heed, it's the tale of Charles Watson's lifetime endeavors and the musicians who have loyally worked along side him. Perseverance is the name of Watson's story augmenting the dedication and skill it takes to become the best. No one in the world plays souped-up electrified classical guitar like he does and he wails on electrics cutting a swath through all the 'bests' that have come before him. Josh Cummings has been part of that story since their teen years, now venturing into a unique story of his own. A Harley tech and bike builder/air brush artist with a flare for the radical, Cummings was called upon to build Shaq O'Neil's monstrosity of a trike that wowed the motorcycle world big-time. Josh's famous tattoo sleeves and engaging smile will now greet millions across the country as he turns metal into art. His kind of art. Custom built motorcycles. What a gig. Motorcycles and Rock 'n Roll. Speaking of tales, one won't want to miss the shadowy story of the Ghost Bike Builder's 4 horsemen on "steeds of chrome and steel" who rode up from Hell, as written and told by Watson in prelude to the reality show's theme song. Watson is a veteran songwriter. The lyrics on the Time For Change album are packed with Watson's streamline hooks and unique visuals characteristic of his lyric writing parsed with his music as only he can do. Ghost Bike Builder theme song lyrics were written by Watson & White Wolf, with Watson writing and arranging the music. Ghost Bike Builder is hard-hitting Rock 'n Roll metal mania. Watson is also composing music for the TV show. Way to go guys. Rock On. For additional information on the news that is the subject of this press release (or for copy or demo), contact Charles E. Charles' concept was to develop a rock genre band to record his next classical guitar album, to not just showcase the classical guitar as a solo or instrumental instrument in music genres people were accustomed to for classical guitar, but as a viable, indeed, incredible alternative to the electric guitar as the versatile and flamboyant and electrified rock classical guitar with the techniques and style he had developed. He found his mentor right in the heart of North America's music industry roots with Nashville's best and most beloved producer, Robert Metzgar. Over the next few months Charles began writing music for the album and, having the option of bringing in his own musicians to record with him, as opposed to recording all the various tracks himself or hiring studio musicians, put together a group of phenomenal musicians and vocalist to launch this new rock band sound and concept. Chris Dunham, who had sung with an AZ hard rock band in the early 90s, decided he wanted to get back into music and began looking for a band to sing with the end of the summer of 2006 and heard through a mutual friend that Charles was auditioning rock vocalists for an album he was recording in Nashville. Charles thought Dunham had the grit and talent for the kind of vocals he was looking for and immediately began working with Chris on lyrics and vocal lines for the music. Watson & Dunham co-wrote the lyrics for all of the songs on the 2008 album with the exception of "Tomorrow Will Come", "Liquid Sin" and Letter to God", which were credited to Chris Dunham, and the title song, "Time For Change", which is an instrumental featuring the classical guitar and keyboard work written and recorded by Charles Watson, and "Stop Wasting My Time", with lyrics by M. E. Kibler. Jesse Johnson, Charles' lifelong bro and incredible drummer, joined-in on the venture as did Josh Cummings, who also had played bass for 2 years in another of Charles and Jesse' bands, Occision, one of the longest running bands in Arizona. Jesse and Josh hadn't ever worked with Charles' classical guitar extravaganzas as a band, being used to much harder electric guitar driven genres. Josh Cummings was able to attend only the last of three recording sessions in Nashville in July of 2007 and record three of the bass lines on the album, the rest of the bass tracks were recorded by Charles Watson. Watson wanted to have a band name for all of them. Johnson, for the first song Watson composed for the album, Empty Man, wanted to call the band "Empty Men" ... this was subsequently replaced by the synonyms "Hollow" and "Council". As Watson was the only person on the recording contract, it was necessary for the album's recording artist to bear his name. The band was called Charles Watson & Hollow Council. The four of them took the music to the live stage to promote the album beginning in October 2007. The resulting collective Alternative Rock band, Charles Watson & Hollow Council, has been hitting the stages and international airwaves with rocketing record-breaking statistics. 2007 was an incredible and busy year including journeys to Nashville to record and work with an entourage of music industry legends, Robert Metzgar, Tony Migliore, Spike Jones, Susie Marshall, and Chuck Haines, and Platinum Plus Records, Nashville to produce the twelve tune hit 2008 album TIME FOR CHANGE Charles Watson & Hollow Council hit the Arizona music scene and built a faithful following both locally from their outrageous live shows as well as online with a broad spectrum of listeners. They booked and played one of the most important venues in the world, STURGIS RALLY 2008 the first week of August 2008 and Charles Watson continued on to Colorado and New Mexico for a classical guitar extravaganza tour. to finish out that month's tour for the album. In September of 2008, Jesse Johnson became unable to continue playing with the band and was replaced by Shane Walker, a fellow music instructor with Charles Watson at Arizona Music Academy. Watson and Walker had been jamming together and with other musicians for over a year previous. These four, Watson, Walker, Dunham, and Cummings continued live performances and album promotions. During the latter part of 2008, Time For Change album broke all AAA Radio charting records with a run of 45 weeks at #1, the top requested single tunes being Stuffed Suits and Stop Wasting My Time . Empty Man, another single off this album, was selected for two 2009 compilation series CD collections by RNR Radio and 3000 Indy Records 360. The band also hosted and played Final Fridays Rockfest from December 2008 to August 2009, hosting a line-up of the valley's hottest rock bands at Crabby Don's venue in Gilbert, AZ. In July 2009, Charles Watson & Hollow Council did a live interview for an Arizona Alternative Music radio station, KWSS 106.7 FM, and the 2008 album, plus live guitar jams recorded during the interview by Watson, Cummings, and Walker, were put into rotation. Also in July of 2009, Charles Watson & Hollow Council were requested to write and submit a new song for a Fortune 500 product advertising campaign themed on extreme sports. Watson wrote a phenomenal new tune with lyrics, incorporating a bass line Cummings had been working on and some additional lyric lines by Dunham were also included. The tune was recorded at Arizona Music Academy in Tempe, AZ and Solidspace Studio in Apache Junction, AZ. Michael Wheeler assisted in engineering the recording of the song Watson titled "White Knuckle Ride". The CD single was presented to the advertising contact by Josh Cummings. At the time of this article, this opportunity is still in the works. In August of 2009, Chris Dunham announced he was quitting the band to pursue other interests. In September, Watson announced he was continuing on Platinum Plus Universal's 2010 artist roster and announced the power trio of himself, Walker, and Cummings were bringing in other players on a special project basis for a 2010 album in the works. Among those mentioned was Tory Edwards, who absolutely rips on electric violin, fiddle, and mandolin, and also plays electric and acoustic guitars and bass. As of September 21, 2009, Charles Watson & Hollow Council, a band of master musicians, have a 2010 album in the works, and two singles, Epidemic and Outbreak. January 2010 Charles Watson brought in legendary blues singer and vocalist with a no-limits genera background, Dave Mennig. His addition to the band and to the music is, to say the least, phenomenal. Along with back up vocals from Watson and Cummings, the band has launched a plethora of incredible new songs, as always, featuring the extreme electric and classical guitar work of Charles Watson. May 2010, Josh Cummings, Hollow Council bassist, was picked up for a new reality TV show, Ghost Bike Builders, filmed in Phoenix, AZ, with Charles Watson & Hollow Council as the show's house band. Josh, the most radical bike builder ever born, is building custom motorcycles real-time, LIVE. Charles Watson and White Wolf wrote the TV show's theme song, Ghost Bike Builder, which Hollow Council recorded and features a prelude tale written and narrated by Watson. August 9-15, 2010, Ghost Bike Builder reality show, is staging a huge venue at the 2010 Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in Sturgis, South Dakota featuring the rock band Hollow Council performing all week long right across from the famous Sturgis Motorcycle Museum at 960 Main Street, Sturgis, SD.
